Story
Ulajh tells the story of a young IFS officer, Suhana Bhatia (Jahnvi Kapoor), who is given a plum posting in London. Here, Adil Hussain is shown as Janhvi Kapoor’s father (Suhana Bhatia), and Roshan Mathew as Sebin from RAW.
There, in the London she falls into the honey trap of suave handsome Nakul Bhatia (Gulshan Devaiah) and is blackmailed into giving secret information to the ISI. Since there was coercion, Suhana discarded all those documents and got ready to give completely different documents.
The next day, Nakul comes to her to get the documents and in return, Suhana wants the secret video. Since Suhana doesn’t know much information about Nakul, she takes his fingerprints secretly. While she was returning home with Selim, she asked him if he had any fingerprints to reveal the details of a person.
On the other hand, Suhana’s father gets promoted to a higher position and at that moment she decides to leave India. When she reached the airport, Nakul called him to say that he had caught the documents that had been tampered with.
Nakul also realizes that Suhana was trying to get his details and he introduces himself to her as his real name is Humayun and tells her that he is an agent of ISIS.
Besides, while giving the pen drive to Suhana, Nakul captures their pictures, which can lead to accusations of disloyalty to the country. Nakul alias Humayun blackmails him and wants to find out the details of some RAW members.
At that moment, Suhana had the thought of committing suicide, but she couldn’t do it for her father’s sake.
So this movie is about how to overcome all these obstacles and destroy all those enemies without going against your own country.

My Overall Experience
What I felt after watching this movie starring Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah is that it can be a mixed presentation of strengths and weaknesses. Here I am presenting my experience of watching this, highlighting six aspects of this movie.
- Acting: First of all, I gave it a 1.2 out of 2 in terms of acting because the acting was commendable however at some points I felt that some of the actors, including Janhvi Kapoor, tended to overact and that the dramatic moments took away from the overall impact.
- Screenplay: I gave the screenplay a 0.8 out of 1.5 stars because the story centers around the idea that the political systems of both countries (India & Pakistan) are deeply corrupt. However, this was unnecessarily complicated for me as it contained a lot of twists and turns that confused the relatively simple concept.
- Background: The background was arguably the strongest element of the film and created a lasting impression by enhancing the overall mood, which is why I gave it a 0.9 out of 1.
- Direction: Now coming to the direction of the movie, which was solid, not particularly notable or bad. Although there was room for improvement, so I gave it a 1 out of 1.5.
- Dialogues: The dialogues in the movie, while not particularly memorable or impactful, served their purpose and that’s why it gets a 0.6 out of 1.
- Cinematography & Casting: Now, let’s move on to the final aspect. The movie was well-directed & the cinematography offered interesting visuals, and the casting was well-suited to the roles, resulting in an above-average experience.
So, based on these six factors, it appears that the movie has a rating of 6.7 out of 10 for me.
