Story

Here, Alia Bhatt plays the character of Satyabhama, a young woman whose world is turned upside down when her younger brother Ankur is wrongly imprisoned in a foreign jail. Not only that but her brother was also ordered to be executed. Despite all these events, broken by the betrayal of many relatives, she comes to his rescue with her willpower and immense love for her brother.

That is why she bravely and determinedly enters the dangerous criminal world of foreign soil. Delving deep into fraud and corruption, she finds out the real conspiracy behind Ankur’s imprisonment and thus risks her life to fool the criminals through one danger after another.

At every step in rescuing Ankur, she faces new challenges, and her bravery and endurance are put to the ultimate test. Yet she overcomes her fears and doubts with time to prove that the bond of brother and sister is unbreakable.

My Overall Experience

Alia Bhatt has been showcasing her acting skills for the past few movies and in this case, Jigra has taken that level to another step. She plays the role of Satyabhama and Vedang Raina of Ankur and I must say that their brother-sister relationship is beautifully portrayed here.

The type of movies we see to date in the Bollywood industry is mostly hero-heroine and action type but this movie is completely different and fresh. What I liked about this movie is that it was made with emotion at first side, without adding any masala, tragedy, or item song.

So, after noticing all the aspects of this movie I am giving it 8 out of 10 which is pretty promising I think.
