Story
In ‘The Exorcism’, Anthony Miller, a failed actor, is the lead who lives with his daughter Lee. At the start of the movie, the character Anthony is seen as plagued with many issues such as his personal history, and an unsatisfactory relationship with Lee. The situation however deteriorates as Anthony becomes possessed by a powerful demon called Molech. The demon’s invasion into his being has a transformative effect on the actor and gradually escalates into violence on a film set and the death of an associate.
Things also begin to take a turn for the worse as the actor turns out to be under the control of a demon and so Lee seeks Father Conor’s assistance, who is also battling his demons. The two of them worked together and faced the demon in a tryhard faith and willpower-stakes faceoff. During many of these activities, Father Conor dies to make sure the demon is contained, giving Anthony and Lee a chance to escape its hold. This experience makes Anthony and Lee reconcile their differences and be united, regardless of the violence they had to endure.
The relationship between Anthony and Lee is on the verge of healing because the movie has elements of both psychological horror and supernatural horror, but there is the aspect of redemption and faith.

My Experience After Watching this Movie
As this is a Hollywood horror movie with Russell Crowe in the lead role, I had high expectations. But honestly, when I finally watched it, it didn’t meet my expectations at all. The story felt dull, and the horror scenes weren’t as scary as you’d hope from a horror movie. By the second half, I was literally counting down the minutes, wondering when it would end.
While the actors delivered decent performances, the execution of their characters was poorly handled. Overall, as a horror movie, I must say it’s disappointing. If you’re thinking about investing your precious time in watching it, I’d suggest you think twice.
